Two out of three ain't bad

Well folks, I didn't meet my goal this week of my Monday, wednesday, and Friday posts but like the title says...

Awesome week all in all, great shows and easy work week.

Highlight of the week? The release of DC Universe Online. Having played the beta I was able to see some differences. First of all the servers were much more stable. Now they weren't problem free mind you, but much less glitches. With any MMORG especially after the initial release, expect some server issues. As well I was actually able to get through some of the PvP events. During the beta, everytime I tried to enter one I got glitched out. overall I love the game but its hard not too when your a comic book geek like me. I mean you get to fight along with all your favourite DCU heroes and villians.

Gonna run for now. Working the day job over the weekend buy I didn't want to delay the "Friday" post too much. This isn't going to count as my promised monthly Saturday editions.

Like the title says

I've had a pretty good week so far. Monday I ended up filling in at my first venue ever. Jake said it was like one of my old shows. It was pretty dead but i had fun and it was good to be back there. Back to the roots so to speak. Awesomeness. Tuesday was first evening in at the so called day job lol. But there was still Awesomeness Tuesday too. It was the official realease of DC Universe Online. I played the beta over the holidays and loved it. Better than that I had it pre-ordered. The best thing was when i got there they had an extra collectors edition copy so I upgraded for the exclusive in game content and the kick ass Batman figure. Got my first character to level 7 last night.

Today has been pretty good too. Of course Wednesday is new comic book day, which makes me happy. Jake was there and as always we had a blast mocking each other and the pretty clerk. Only Jake will get that lol sorry.

Have a couple movies on my to see list that i look forward to giving my two cents about. You may have guessed that they are Tron and Green Hornet.


Well im off to do some dishes which will be followed by Marley making us something to eat.

First ever regular Monday Edition

So just as I promised! The Monday edition. I'm writing you from a course I am on at work l. It hasn't started yet but soon. I was going to write after work but I agreed to help build a stage tonight and I wanna keep my promise from the Sunday edition.

Great thing is that the course is taking place a mere four blocks from my place and a mere two from the comic book shoppe, which will be awesome come Wednesday.

Also gonna go see Jake this week since I'm really close to his restaurant . The change over hasn't happened but let's face it, it's his.

Spent most of my Christmas holidays playing the DCU online beta. Really enjoyed it despite some of the server issues which are hopefully cleared up for it's release tomorrow. Speaking of which I will be leaving here tomorrow to go directly to tr EB Games that I pre-ordered it from. Crappy thing is I have to go into work Tuesday night so it will be after 10 that I get to actually play. Hopefully all the good names aren't taken by then lol.

Did some thinking and I think besides the Mon, Wed, Friday posts I will do a Saturday and a Sunday post once a month. We've had the Sunday, coming soon will be the Saturday Edition.

Good thing about thi course so far I that we've had a 40 min lecture and then a 15 min break. Awesome.

Let's just say life got in the way. Quick summary you ask? OK here it goes....

Well i am now reporting to you live from downtown Ottawa. I love it. My buddy Marley and I decided to get an apartment downtown and we love it! I'm a mere 3 blocks from the comic book shoppe. Been here since September. Wally is still in Toronto but we still love him anyway. Although he did just come up for a visit. It was awesome. Jake is just finishing the deal to buy a restaurant. Very excited for him.

And that's the quick summary.

I could go into great detail and take up your next hour or so but I don't wanna write that anymore than you wanna read it.

I just wanna get back into the swing of things and maybe even make it live up to it's title. Semi-Daily remember?

So here's what I'm gonna try and do, have a new post out every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Let's see if i can do it.

Been Away too long

Well my dear readers, I must apologize for my extended absence. What has kept me away? Life basicaly. I had the flu followed by bronchitis so that initially kept me away.

Also I was trying to sort out the Erratic Thought Pattern podcast and came into some hiccups. Speaking of which I have some bad news about that. Although i did complete the editing I was having quite the difficulty getting it uploaded to the ETP blog page. But it gets worse. My laptop has seen better days. Besides being a lilttle banged up, it's power cord was previously chewed by my former roommate Shecky's dog. It was repaired some time ago but Small Lady has a bunny that apparently gets its kicks from chewing on cables. That damage was only noticed recently when I realized that the computer was maintaining power but will not charge anymore. So despite being very careful with it, I came home from my show on Sunday and it would not turn on anymore. As a result I have lost a lot of files I need, including the ETP Pilot.

On the bright side of things I did get a shiny new laptop on Tuesday.

Right now I am getting it all set up the way I like it. Wally, Jake and I plan to another rcording during our trip to visit Wally. Our Plan is to release that as the first podcast. Once I get the file recovered from the old laptop, we will release that as a lost pilot. That brings me to the good news.

Small Lady has ordered a replacement power cable from ebay (told her she could have it if I ever got a new one.) Hopefully it will work and hopefully it won't turn out to be a problem with the battery as well. If that is the case I can get my files onto the the new laptop and backed up on my external hard drive. If not I will take it somewhere to recover my files.

A whole lot going on in the comic book front. War of the Supermen and Brightest Day to mention a few things. You'll likely see my thoughts on that soon. Return of Bruce Wayne starts today but I'm waiting until the weekend to pick up my books.

Saw both the new Nightmare on Elm Street and Iron Man 2. Enjoyed them both but i thing I will share my thoughts in a future post.

In the mean time I am going to start writing up my post for the blog crossover Wally and I had planned.

Big game for the Habs tonight. Both Wally and I will be on edge to see the result.

First Recording Done. Now the real work Begins

Hello Dear Readers! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. If it wasn't a long weekend for you then you probably deserve one. It was quite the jam packed weekend for me but the best part of it was the first recording of Erratic Thought Patters. If you haven't been keeping up with Wally or I then you don't know that we, with Jake, have started a podcast. Now it isn't ready for release yet, since i still have to edit it but you can also see the new blog at www.erraticthoughtpatterns.blogspot.com

Also Wally has given me the nudge to Twitter by creating me a feed there. I have never used it before but it will add to the growing community of Wally, Jake and Romeo bloggyness. Yes I just made that word up.

I have lots of work ahead of me with all our new additions plus my first stab at podcast editing.

All Caught Up

Welcome dear readers to Hump-day. Take that however you like ;) That also means that it is new comic book day. I won't make it there until this weekend though. Boo.

Last night I was very excited and a little disappointed to be caught up to the current season of Criminal Minds. Excited because like I said, I am caught up. Why would I be disappointed you ask? Well, now I have to wait like everyone else to see a new episode. I think I'll get over it though.

Jake and I have continued to briefly talk about a podcast. I really want to find a way to include Wally as well. The trio doesn't get to do much together at the same time with Wally now in Toronto (not a dig at you Wally just a fact, but I still get to slap you for moving. Hugs ) Haven't actually directly asked him about it but I know he reads the blog. Jake even came up with a good name for it. He asked me to find out what we need to do and he's in. As a heads up to you Wally, I'm gonna give you a call over the next few days to bounce idea's off of you and see where your knowledge base is on how to start a podcast.

What would we pod about you ask? Well you will just have to wait and see. I will keep everyone updated as this project evolves.
