Lost My Socks in Wal-Mart

Happy St Patrick's Day Everyone! Remember tonight if you are going to party hard to either have a DD or take a cab home. Now yesterday I promised to tell you how I lost my socks in Wal-Mart but before I get into the story you should know a few details. Just around the corner from my place is a 24 hour Wal-Mart and sometimes i just like going to Wal-Mart in the wee hours of the morning. Most of the time I don't have a reason other than just because I can. Usually it is a little adventure too. On this occasion I had finished one of my karaoke shows and had the urge to go. I was driving a friend home so she joined me for the possible adventure. Now I have a certain path I take when I go. After entering the store I walk by the men's clothing section to see if anything will catch my eye. This time I found a shirt that would go excellent with my kilt. Sorry Wally but you know pants aren't always an option with me much to your dismay. At the end of the clothing section I head over to electronics to browse and sometimes buy movies or video games. I was disappointed to find that Wal-Mart wasn't carrying Boondock Saints II but i ended up finding it Sunday anyway. While browsing in the movie section I was approached by two gentlemen who looked 20ish. This is what they asked "This might sound weird but can we have your socks?" As anyone would I thought the request was odd but before i could comment they continued with "We are on a scavenger hunt and..." Then I cut them off and almost shouted "Done!" In that split section I remembered the fun I had in High School participating in a scavenger hunt and wanted these gentlemen to succeed in their quest. They laughed with my quick reply and finished their sentence "...we need a stranger's socks" As I took my shoes off i told them " Now I can't account for their condition and handle them at your own risk"

I do have to give them Kudo's as I think it was actually pretty bright to chose a 24 hour Wal-Mart to seek out their item. I think mostly because it would be alot safer than asking some random dude on the street in the wee hours of the morning.

So I hope you found this story entertaining, but I realize it may have just been a had to be there moment.
